TOTSCo

Friday's reflections from the desk of CEO Paul Bradbury

22 March 2024

With our eyes set on the revised OTS go-live date of 12th September, the entire TOTSCo team is focusing sharply on operational readiness while providing unwavering support to all stakeholders during the testing phase in anticipation of the OTS go-live.

To date we have successfully onboarded 157 users. In our testing environments, we have 4 users in simulator testing, 34 in our integration environment and 2 users in the technical stage of industry trials. As promised, we will be publishing the results of industry trials on a regular basis from next week.

If you meet the entry criteria outlined in our “path to go-live” document and wish to participate in these trials, it’s crucial that you reach out to us, signalling your interest and readiness. If you have any questions or need help on your testing journey, please get in touch

Based on our experiences, we’ve identified that certain challenges can arise during the testing preparation phase. Therefore, it is crucial that you start your OTS journey with us today. Start by reading through our hub users guide, it walks you through every step, from the initial engagement and onboarding, all the way to testing on the TOTSCo Hub and managing your account.

This week as we step up our engagement, we attended the INCA Switching and Special Wholesale Group and I attended in person the WISPA spring 2024 members meeting. I enjoyed the lively discussion around the industry process, the hub testing process and engaging with a Managed Access Provider (MAPs). The MAPs are a crucial part of the success of OTS. Here you will find all the information on the MAPs solutions along with the list of MAPs we are working with.

As I mentioned in my blog a couple of weeks ago, we have been reaching out to industry seeking expressions of interest in filling two vacancies on the TOTSCo Board. These vacancies have arisen due to the imminent departure of Justin Hornby (Medium Retail Providers constituency), as he leaves Vodafone and Gita Sorensen (New Infrastructure Providers constituency), who is stepping aside to make room for a representative from within the constituency.

I’m delighted to announce that Anne Hoitink from Utility Warehouse Limited has been appointed to the position of constituency director, (Medium Retail Providers constituency).

Regarding Gita’s position, having received more than one application, we have initiated an election process with TOTSCo members from the New Infrastructure Providers constituency. The decision is due during April. I will keep you updated.

And finally, don’t forget, our monthly Stakeholder Forum is just around the corner on Wednesday, 27 March, from 1 pm to 3 pm. The agenda is available on our website, and if you have any agenda items to propose or questions to submit beforehand, we’d love to hear from you.

That’s all from me folks, have a great weekend.

Paul
