Each day, it is encouraging to see the Hub’s performance in the latest stats. So far, the system has processed 9.2 million messages, with 875,000 switch orders placed and 615,000 successfully completed. We are seeing a low number of customer queries, which is a great sign as we continue to refine operations.
As OTS stabilises, we’re also seeing a shift in engagement – fewer queries and lower attendance at engagement sessions suggest that confidence in the process is growing. With that in mind, we’re reviewing our OTS engagement plans to make sure they remain useful while gradually easing off on some of the regular updates.
As part of this, I’ll be moving to fortnightly updates instead of weekly ones.
On the subject of business switching, we have completed our review of all feedback submitted in response to Bulletin 78, our consultation on the proposed updates to the User Agreement and MAP Agreement. We will publish our response early next week.
At the same time, we are working on the final touches to our business switching solution and look forward to sharing more details soon.
This week, we have published our 2025/26 budget for your feedback. Since TOTSCo’s costs are funded by the industry, transparency remains key. We are committed to delivering value for money while ensuring a high-quality, always-on service that is critical to both industry and consumers.
Before finalising the budget, we invite you to review it and share your thoughts. Please send your feedback by 14 March 2025 to [email protected], quoting ‘budget' in the subject line.
Finally, I am pleased to welcome Michael (Mick) Everett to the TOTSCo Board as the new Small Retail Provider Constituency Director, following Andrew Glover’s departure (see Bulletin 80).
Mick has over 40 years of telecoms experience, particularly with small Internet Service Providers (ISPs). As an active ISPA Council member and Treasurer, he brings valuable insight into the challenges smaller providers face.
We look forward to working with Mick and warmly welcome him to the Board.
That all from me folks.
Have a great weekend.
Paul
